Description
Sunrise crests the distant mountains, bathing the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon in a soft, warm glow. Half the canyon remains hidden in shadow, waiting for its turn to awaken. Taken from the northern rim on the upper section of the Queen’s Garden Trail on August 28, 2024 at 6:27am MDT.
I was the first to arrive at this section of the trail for sunrise, but true to the form of social media and tourist traps, it didn’t take long for others to crowd the ridge. Still, I enjoyed a few quiet moments listening to the far-off howl of wind blowing through the canyon, the Moon, Jupiter, and Mars above me with the constellations Orion and Taurus doing battle beside them.
